
In line with ongoing efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships and deepen public support for security operations in Anambra State, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, on Tuesday, July 2025, paid a courtesy visit to High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu) at his office in Abuja, after receiving the prestigious award of “Best Crime Fighter – Man of the Year 2025” by the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council was conferred on him.
The Commissioner’s visit was part of a broader advocacy initiative aimed at fostering collaboration between the Police, other security agencies, and key stakeholders within and outside the State.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that during the meeting, CP Orutugu appreciated High Chief Ndubuisi for his consistent support to security agencies and called for increased synergy between traditional leaders, community stakeholders, and the Police, especially in intelligence gathering, public awareness, and logistics support for effective crime prevention.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring a peaceful and secure environment, noting that security remains a shared priority that requires continuous engagement with patriotic individuals and institutions.
In his response, High Chief Ndubuisi commended CP Orutugu for his proactive leadership and unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Anambra State.
He pledged continued moral and material support for the Police and other security agencies working tirelessly to maintain law and order in the State.
The Command remains committed to building strong community-based partnerships as part of its proactive policing strategy. Citizens are encouraged to continue supporting security agencies through timely information and positive engagement.
