The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu fwc MNIPS PhD, has reiterated the Command’s commitment to building a strong security architecture across the State by strategically positioning Police Divisions to serve as fortresses against common enemies of the people.

The CP stated this on September 9, 2025, during the commissioning of the CP Orutugu’s Eagles Eye Tower at Ekwulobia Division, Aguata LGA.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the CP Orutugu commended the collaborative efforts of security stakeholders, community leaders, and partner agencies in Aguata for their unwavering support in strengthening grassroots policing.

The CP further noted that security is a collective responsibility and that the resilience of our communities is greatly enhanced when stakeholders unite with the Police in proactive measures such as this.

The Eagle’s Eye Tower is more than an infrastructure; it is a symbol of vigilance, courage, and partnership. The facility, built with the support of stakeholders in Aguata, will enhance surveillance, early response, and visibility policing in the Division, thereby deterring criminal elements and boosting public confidence.

Also, the CP in a thank you visit led the Joint Security Team after the commissioning of the project to pay homage and appreciate one of the Stakeholders in the area, Chief Joseph Ebere Ezeokafor, CEO Jezco Oil for his support towards the Security agencies and especially the Police Command.

In attendance were the Representative of the traditional ruler, the representative of the Local Government Chairman, the President General of different Communities and other Security stakeholders in the Area.
