…AS HE BIDS FAREWELL TO NPF

The former Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Amukoko Command, Lagos, CSP Maliki Bawa Rilwanu has urged all serving police personnel to be upright, honest and have the fear of God while discharging their duties as police operatives.
The former DPO made the remarks during a colourful retirement party organized in his honour at the Governor Event Centre, Amukoko In Ifelodun Local Council Development Area Lagos State.
CSP Bawa, who expressed joy and satisfaction said “It pays more to serve humanity. I thank God for seeing me through the past 35 years of meritorious service to the nation.”
Until his retirement, he was the Commander Special Enquiry Bureau, Lagos State Police Command headquarters Ikeja. A position he held for less than three months before his retirement.
To honour him the Chairman Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, Honourable Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo led chieftains of the council and many well wishers to bid farewell to the former DPO, who the community loved so much due to his human relationship style of policing.
According to the Chairman, the retired Officer, CSP Maliki Bawa, is an achiever. “If he was a politician, he wouldn’t have retired now because he is an achiever who performed very well during his service.
“He is disciplined and that is what I saw in him when I took over as the LCDA Chairman in Ifelodun. I wish him well in his future endeavours but I advised him to establish a security company because he knows the job to the core, Okeowo reiterated.
On his part, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command, CP Olarenwaju Ishola who was represented by CSP Administration, Lagos State Police Command, CSP Taoreed Lawal commended him for his dexterity and commitment to duty while in service.
Others who graced the occasion were the former Chairman, Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, Honourable Ajifat Ajdagba among other dignitaries who came from different parts of Lagos to felicitate with a humble and distinguished CSP Maliki Bawa Rilwanu during his retirement party.
