In addition, the Nigerian Customs Service won the 2020 African Public Relations Award in recognition of its Superior Achievement in Branding Reputation and Engagement (SABRE).
The awards hosted by The Holmes Report in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) said their performances were based on “aggressive sensitisation drive across the country during the early part of the ongoing border drill.”
It was learnt that other reasons for the awards were based on recognition of selflessness, commitment and devotion by the Service in effective deployment of communication to address various economic, social and security challenges.
Also, the Customs Command and Staff College was also recognised as it grabbed the 2020 Security and Emergency Management Award (SAEMA) for outstanding training feats on Security and Emergency Management.
