Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City, Edo State.
Head, Media & Publicity of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, disclosed that the suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet-related fraud.
He said, the items recovered from them include 10 exotic cars, laptops, and phones, adding that the suspects will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
