ELEVATION, WELL-DESERVED MILESTONE – MAJ GEN AJOSE

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 8 Division, Nigerian Army, and Commander Sector 2, Joint Task Force (North West) Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Ibikunle Ajose has decorated four senior officers newly promoted from Colonel to Brigadier General.

The event, held at the Eagle Officers’ Mess, celebrated their dedication, professionalism, and exemplary service to the nation.

The officers decorated duringm the ceremony include Brigadier General Mansur Tijani& the Deputy Chief of Staff Administration, Brigadier General Husaini Toro the Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Adamu, Commander 58 Signals Brigade and Brigadier General David Chidozie Ibeh, Commander 8 Division Medical Services and Hospital.

In his remarks, Major General Ajose congratulated the newly promoted Brigadier Generals and described their elevation as a “well-deserved milestone” and a testament to their hard work and commitment.

He noted that he was immensely proud of each of them; reiterating l that their achievements reflect not only their individual excellence but also the strength of the Nigerian Army.

“I would be honoured to serve alongside you anywhere in the future” he stated.

The GOC also extended his heartfelt appreciation to the families of the senior officers, acknowledging their unwavering support as the backbone of the officers’ success.

Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Brigadier General Abdulmalik Aboki Adamu expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for the promotion and to Major General Ajose for his visionary leadership.

“We are humbled by this honour and the trust placed in us,” he said. “We pledge to redouble our efforts, exceed expectations and continue serving our nation with integrity and distinction.”

He also recognized the pivotal role of their spouses, whose support has been instrumental in their careers.

Lt Col Olaniyi Osoba, the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, 8 Division Nigerian Army further stated in a statement in Sokoto on Tuesday that the featured the formal decoration of the officers, inspiring goodwill messages from senior colleagues and a moment of reflection on their journey.
