EMPOWERING FUTURE LEADERS

A contingent of students and educators from Adue International School, Karshi, Abuja, embarked on an enlightening educational excursion to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre to foster a deeper understanding of leadership principles and their practical applications.

The students, who were received by the Director General Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Maj Gen Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Retd), briefed the students during an engaging and informative tour of the Nigerian Army Museum.

At the museum, the students were exposed to the rich history and heritage of the Nigerian Army, with a focus on the values of discipline, loyalty, and selfless service.

Through the presentations and interactive sessions, the students gained valuable insights into the fundamentals of leadership, including strategic planning, decision-making, and effective communication. They also learned the importance of teamwork, adaptability, and resilience in achieving success and national security.

The highlight of the visit was a lecture on leadership by the DG NARC, Maj Gen GA Wahab (Rtd), a distinguished military officer with extensive experience in leadership development. The students actively participated in the discussions, asking thoughtful questions on leadership and security.

The lecture did not only broaden their understanding of the subject but also instilled in them a sense of responsibility to become effective leaders in their own right.

As the visit drew to a close, the students expressed their gratitude through the head boy, Master Mark Chris, to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre for providing them with a unique and enriching learning experience.

This educational visit marked a significant milestone in the students’ journey towards becoming informed and inspired leaders. As they return to their academic pursuits, they carry with them a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper understanding of the leadership principles that will guide them throughout their lives.

In attendance during the visit were, the Executive Director Consult, Maj Gen S Dahiru, Director of Administration, Team leader of Adue International School, Senior officers from the Centre, staff of Adue International School among others
