FCT POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS OVER ATTACK ON BOYS BRIGADE CAMP IN ZHAYIDNA VILLAGE OROZO

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested three suspects over tragic attack on the Boys Brigade Camp in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, which caused the death of one the campers, Johnson John.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, reads:

“FCT Police has recorded a significant breakthrough in its ongoing investigation into the tragic attack on the Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village Orozo, which resulted in the unfortunate death of one of the campers, Johnson John.

“Acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang led a team of Police operatives, trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident. The suspects arrested include; Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village Karshi.

“At the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased. The suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, psc, mnips, has reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.

“The Command deeply appreciates the continued cooperation of residents, community leaders, and youth stakeholders, and urges members of the public to remain calm and law-abiding.

“FCT residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities or persons to the Police through the following emergency numbers: 0803 200 3913, 0802 894 0883, 0705 733 7653, Complaint Response Unit: 08107314192.”
