The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, has reinforced security deployments across border communities in the Territory following an operational tour of Bwari, Garam, and other adjoining areas bordering Kaduna and Niger States.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, 29th October 2025, is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the FCT’s security architecture, enhance police presence, and improve rapid response to emerging threats.

CP Dantawaye, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations and heads of tactical units, inspected police formations and deployment points, including those around the Nigerian Law School in Bwari and other strategic locations along the border corridor.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the exercise is aimed at tightening security around entry and exit routes, preventing cross-border crimes, and ensuring the safety of residents in the area.
As part of the visit, CP Dantawaye paid courtesy calls on traditional rulers — the Emir of Bwari and the Etsu Bwaya — where he emphasized the importance of sustained community partnership in maintaining peace and security. He urged residents to remain vigilant and to promptly share credible information that could aid police operations.
“The Command remains fully committed to protecting lives and property across the FCT,” CP Dantawaye stated.

“Our approach will continue to prioritize intelligence-led policing, community engagement, and strategic deployment to curb criminal activities.”
The Commissioner reaffirmed that the FCT Police Command will continue to bolster its operational capacity and collaborate with communities to ensure a safer environment for all residents.
