
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has apprehended four suspects linked to a one-chance robbery and attempted kidnapping incident, successfully rescuing two victims during the operation.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the ordeal began on the night of October 8, 2025, when the Life Camp Police Station received a distress call around 10:09 p.m. from a victim claiming she had been abducted by criminals demanding a ransom of ₦1 million for her release.
Responding swiftly, officers from the Life Camp Division launched an intensive search operation using digital and tactical intelligence. At approximately 4:30 a.m. the following day, the suspects were arrested at Dape Village after a tense confrontation with law enforcement personnel.
During the raid, two victims were freed. One victim sustained multiple stab wounds inflicted by the suspects and was immediately taken to Gwarinpa General Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical care.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Solomon Tanko, Samuel Audu, Chigozie Joseph, and Emmanuel Chidiebere, all male.
Investigations have uncovered that the suspects had been involved in a string of one-chance robberies in the Bannex and Kado areas. They reportedly used a vehicle with tinted windows to lure and deceive unsuspecting passengers. Prior to their arrest, the suspects admitted to robbing six victims, both men and women.

Police Operatives recovered several items from the suspects, including 15 international passports, two sharp daggers, two cutlasses, bloodstained documents, four mobile phones, two hammers, and three pens.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged in court following the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
