The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has made significant strides in its ongoing efforts to combat crime, arresting multiple suspects involved in armed robbery, drug trafficking, and vehicle theft during a series of intelligence-led operations conducted between October 9 and 18, 2025.
Command’s Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, disclosed that the operations, carried out by the Command’s Scorpion Squad in collaboration with the Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mabushi Divisions, led to the apprehension of several individuals connected to high-profile criminal activities across the territory.
According to her, among those arrested were Manaseh Emmanuel (36), Dogora Ibrahim (21), and Ibrahim Idamusa (40), believed to be members of a notorious armed robbery gang allegedly led by Ibrahim Yakubu, also known as “Ycome”, who is currently in custody at the Kuje Correctional Centre.
In a separate operation, operatives from the Life Camp Division arrested Umar Abubakar, Iliyasu Ibrahim, Usman Ibrahim, and Alkasim Abubakar. Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects are part of a ten-man syndicate linked to a spate of violent robberies in Kubwa, Life Camp, and Mpape.
Meanwhile, the Mabushi Division apprehended Bello Mohd Tambuwal in connection with the theft of a 2019 Toyota Corolla. Additionally, Paul Onogwu was intercepted while in possession of 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa.
Items recovered during the operations include: one cutlass, sword, jackknife, Toyota Land Cruiser, reportedly stolen during a robbery, black 2019 Toyota Corolla (Chassis No: JTNK4RBE1K3054902), Toyota Camry (Registration No: KRD 391 JF) and 15 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Cannabis Sativa
Commissioner of Police, CP Dantawaye Miller, psc, commended the officers involved in the operations, urging all divisional heads to sustain the momentum and intensify efforts in the fight against crime throughout the FCT.
CP Miller reiterated the Command’s resolve to continue dismantling criminal networks and uncovering hideouts until the FCT is fully secured.
