In a renewed effort to enhance communication and coordination among security agencies in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the FCT Security Spokespersons Forum on Friday held a strategic meeting at the Federal Fire Service FCT Command Headquarters, Kubwa, Abuja.
The forum, which comprises spokespersons and Public Relations Officers from all security and emergency response agencies operating within the FCT, convened to deepen inter-agency collaboration and develop innovative communication strategies for improved public awareness and information management.
Discussions during the meeting centered on the need for unified messaging, effective information sharing, and stronger cooperation among security institutions. Participants noted that seamless coordination and consistent communication would foster operational efficiency, strengthen public confidence, and enhance the overall security architecture of the FCT.
Agencies represented at the meeting included the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), and the Federal Fire Service, among others.
The forum members unanimously resolved to sustain the collaboration beyond periodic meetings by expanding it to joint trainings, community engagement initiatives, and public enlightenment campaigns, all aimed at promoting safety and security across the nation’s capital.
The meeting was coordinated by SP Josephine Adeh, ANIPR, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, and Coordinator of the FCT Security Spokespersons Forum.
