Former Governor of Nairobi, Kenya, His Excellency Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has been conferred with a joint honors of Leadership Excellence Award by UNIPGC/Jewel Howard Taylor Leadership Program (Former Vice President of Liberia) and a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership and Governance by the American University of Peace and Governance, USA.
The conferment is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to sustainable humanitarian efforts, social work, and Human capital development.
The award ceremony, held at the historic House of Lords, British Parliament, was part of the 3rd edition of the UNIPGC Global Leadership Investment Summit and Peace Award (GLISPA) organized by the UK Chapter Of the United Nations International Peace and Governance Council UNIPGC.
The prestigious event drew global dignitaries, philanthropists, and leaders committed to advancing peace and good governance worldwide. Few among notable personalities that grace the event is the Hon. Likando Kalaluka, Zambia’s Former Attorney General and His Royal Highness, King Dr Olusegun Aderemi JP who served as the Royal Father Of the Day.
Among other honorees were Livinis TSAR ADZER, Mr. Victor ALONGE, Princess Akawor Dolor, Chief Mrs. Bolaji Juliet Akinmulero; Dr. Carlos Sousa; Mr. Zelig Ifeanyi Okonmah; Jaruwan Vantana; Morenike Oluwaseun; Dr. Bastin Titus Anthony Raj; and Dr. Michael Kanthakaran.
The event was anchored by Dr. Graziella Thake, Secretary General of UNIPGC Australia, with the Investiture officiated by member of the UNIPGC Advisory Council on Human Rights and Judicial Cooperation, Barr. Williams Chima.
In his closing remarks, H.E. Amb. Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, UNIPGC Global President and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, urged the recipients to serve as worthy peace ambassadors and exemplary leaders on the global stage.
One of the Honorary Doctorate Awardee Mr. Livinis Tsar, who attended the ceremony with close friends including Prof. Kohol Iornem, described the honor as a call to deepen their commitment to sustainable peace and development.
The United Nations International Peace and Governance Council (UNIPGC UK) is a diplomatic civil society organization with global chapters dedicated to promoting peace, good governance advocacy, and poverty eradication.
This 3rd ( third) edition was organized in collaboration with other organizations in the UK such as Foreign Investment Network (FIN) UK, Euroknowledge and Trailblazer Queen, USA.
One Of the Members of the UNIPGC Supreme Council, Hon. Kevin Uguru who doubles as Member of the German Parliament, Berlin and also Secretary General, UNIPGC Europe implored members of the public and newsmen during the red carpet interview section disclosed that the next Edition will be in Germany around May/June 2026..
