
The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, has stated that the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has empowered thousands of farmers in Delta State, thereby providing food security for Deltans.
According to Ossai, during the campaign period, the governor promised to ensure food security, and today he has kept his campaign promises.
He noted that the governor has released N1 Billion as counterpart funding for the African Union Development Agency–New Partnership for Africa’s Development (AUDA-NEPAD), which has supported 2,000 farmers engaged in food production, livestock, and aquaculture.

Ossai also said Governor Oborevwori has distributed fertilizers to farmers across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state to ensure food security.
“Governor Oborevwori has also provided agricultural inputs to 6,020 farmers to boost agricultural production and food security in the state.
This has ensured sustainable food security in the state.
Farmers in the state are using the opportunity by utilizing the inputs efficiently to improve their productivity and harvest and contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector in the state,” he said.
In the last two years, Governor Oborevwori has achieved a lot in the agricultural sector.
Farmers are receiving the necessary support to continue their vital contributions to the state’s economy.
Governor Oborevwori’s aim to enhance food production, increase household incomes, and ultimately improve the livelihoods of thousands of Deltans is succeeding.
