Nigeria’s official delegation to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), led by the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, and the Director-General/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has concluded a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration on youth empowerment and digital transformation.
The delegation held strategic meetings with leading UAE institutions, including the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa) and the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), exploring opportunities in digital skills development, innovation, and investment to drive youth-focused initiatives.
Central to the discussions was the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) — a flagship national programme designed to equip seven million young Nigerians with digital skills, entrepreneurship support, and access to meaningful economic opportunities.
These engagements reflect NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0) and underscore the Federal Government’s commitment to fostering digital literacy, building innovation ecosystems, and forging impactful global partnerships that will drive inclusive national growth.
