Globacom subscribers across Nigeria are celebrating noticeable improvements in the quality of voice and data services, following the company’s recent network upgrade. For Glo, system re-engineering has been a tradition over its 22-year history, and the latest efforts are already winning praise from satisfied customers nationwide.
According to Globacom, in Lagos, residents say the network has become more reliable. Stephanie Ifeatu of Costain shared her experience: “I have enjoyed using the network for both calls and browsing. The service has remained consistently reliable throughout my time on the network.”
Similarly, Sani Sunday from Lagos Island rated the network’s stability “10 out of 10” and commended Glo for its improved internet speeds. Victoria Island resident, James Aondofa, who has been with the network for over a decade, praised Glo for “perfect calls and excellent browsing,” adding that a recent SIM swap gave him better call rates and enhanced service.
Subscribers outside Lagos also expressed satisfaction. In Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Godwin Ogharandukun Ofeoritse noted that services had become more accessible with the presence of a Gloworld outlet: “Voice calls are now better, while data speed is faster.” Another resident, Olajire Balogun, confirmed that the network is now more stable than before.
In Ibadan, U.S.-based entrepreneur Leke Okufuwa said Glo’s strong data coverage convinced him to adopt the network for his farm’s CCTV operations. “I tried other networks, but Glo has the strongest coverage. I am planning to buy one terabyte of data to power my CCTVs year-round,” he said.
The positive feedback extends to Port Harcourt, where subscriber Paul Ije highlighted clearer calls and faster internet. “Browsing, streaming, and downloading are now smooth and quick,” he said. In Benin City, multiple residents — including Emmanuel Omondiale and Patrick Osayimwe — reported a significant boost in both voice and data quality.
Abuja residents are also experiencing the difference. Biodun Ibrahim from Mpape described the network as “super good, with fast data and perfect voice service.” Similarly, Esther Atanze from Asokoro and Mary John from Kubwa praised Glo for paying attention to subscriber needs. Mary added: “Recently, I noticed the network has greatly improved; even video calls go smoothly now.”
From Lagos to Abuja and across other cities, subscribers agree that Glo has reaffirmed its reputation as “the people’s network.” As the company celebrates its 22nd anniversary, it has pledged to sustain investments in infrastructure and continuous upgrades to deliver affordable and quality services to millions of Nigerians.
