GOC, 8 DIVISION BRIEFS NISS PARTICIPANTS ON OPERATIONAL SUCCESSES

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division and Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force Northwest Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Major General Ibikunle Ajose has hosted the Executive Intelligence Management Course 18/2025 from the National Institute for Security Studies (NISS), Abuja who were on study tour of the division.

He noted that the study tour reflects the Institute’s commitment to practical and strategic importance of NA in combating insecurity in the country, while expressing delight hosting the senior security officials and executives who represent the future leadership of the nation’s security apparatus.

The GOC, was represented by the Chief of Staff Headquarters 8 Division, Brigadier General Abubakar Suru, who expressed joy for their visit, adding that he will not take for granted the participants’ study tour of Sokoto, which is part of their course schedule.

While briefing them on the Division’s operational activities and successes recorded so far in the ongoing operations, emphasized the Division’s innovative approaches to maintaining peace and security in collaboration with other relevant agencies.

In his remarks, the Team Leader, Mr Kehinde Adeleke said the visit forms a crucial part of the course curriculum designed to expose participants to practical security challenges and solutions across different states of the federation, noting that knowledge gained would contribute to their research projects and enhance their capacity as senior security managers.

The participants comprise senior officers from various security agencies within and outside the country, and other strategic institutions in Nigeria.
