GOC 81 DIV ASSURES COMMANDER ENGINEERS OF MAXIMUM SUPPORT

The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Faruk Umar Mijinyawa has pledged its unflinching support at all times to the Corps, Nigerian Army Engineers (NAE).

He spoke on Tuesday, 28th January, 2025 in his office while receiving the Commander, Corps of Engineers, Major General Tonye Thanks Numbere, who paid a courtesy visit at the Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army Lagos.

The GOC appreciated the CCE for chosing HQ 81 Division as his first point of call following his assumption of office as the 31st CCE and assured him of his full support to the Corps.

In his remarks, the CCE, Major General Numbere thanked the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede for the privilege to serve in the capacity and appreciated the GOC for the warm reception and hospitality.

He noted with gladness some of the modest achievements of the GOC; especially making a giant strides in tackling myriads of security issues in his Area of Responsibility.

The CCE solicited for improved collaboration for collective attainment of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Command philosophy which is: “To Consolidate the Transformation of the Nigerian Army Towards Bequeathing a well- Motivated and Combat-Ready force that can Effectively Discharge its Constitutional Responsibilities within a joint and multi-Agency Environment.”

Highlights of the visit were, the exchange of souvenirs, signing of visitors book and group photograph.
