The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Godwin Ahamefuna Umelo on Thursday paid a maiden visit to Headquarters, 9 Brigade, Cantonment lkeja, Lagos.
He promised to strengthen security within Lagos metropolis and in other areas of responsibilities.
The GOC was received at the quarter guard by the Commander 9 Brigade, Brig. Gen. Musa Etsu-Ndagi and the Brigade Staff Officers and the Commanders of affiliated formations and Units within the Cantonment.
It would be recalled that the GOC assumed office on July 22, 2020, and this is his first time he would be officially visiting the Brigade.
