
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Professor Nyaudo Ndaeyo, is set to welcome Ambassador Jonathan Marshall Ojada, Global President and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, other eminent members of the diplomatic corps, and Apostle Dr. Titi-Oluwadare, Global President of TOA Group, to the University of Uyo Main Campus.
In a statement from the UNIPGC Global President, the seven-day official visit will commence on Monday, 29th September 2025 to Sunday, 5th October 2025.
Meanwhile, the seven-day official visit will feature a series of engagements, including meetings with key stakeholders, interactive sessions with students, and further discussions on strengthening collaborations between the University of Uyo, TOA Group, and international development partners.
It was further revealed that the delegation would be received in a colorful ceremony that reflects the institution’s tradition of excellence and hospitality.
The visit will mark a milestone in the history of the University, as it centers on the ground-breaking ceremony of TOA-funded landmark projects.
These projects include: a 9,000-bed space capacity smart hostel for students; 500 luxury housing units for academic and non-academic staff; a 400-bed capacity three-star hotel to accommodate University guests and visitors.
Others are the Umo Eno Center for Development, a special project dedicated to advancing the capacity, innovation, and leadership skills of the Students’ Union and the student body at large.
It was learnt that Apostle Dr. Titi-Oluwadare, will reaffirm TOA’s commitment to partnering with institutions like the University of Uyo to raise the standards of academic infrastructure across Africa.
However, Ambassador Jonathan Marshall Ojada expresses readiness to embrace global partnerships with the University to positively impact the students, staff, and the wider community.
This visit and ground-breaking ceremony stand as a testimony to the University’s strategic positioning as a center of academic excellence, innovation, and global collaboration.
