HON OYEKAN CONGRATULATES NEW SPEAKER, LAGOS STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

The Deputy Leader, Lagos Island Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Prince Taiwo Oyekan has congratulated the new Speaker, Lagos State House of Assmebly, Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda after emerging as the First Female Speaker on Monday.

The former Speaker, Hon Mudasiru Obasa was impeached on Monday, 13th January, 2025 for what the house claimed to have been acts of corruption, high-handedness, gross misconduct and massive corruption.

According to the Hon. Oyekan, Mrs Meranda’d emergence as the speaker is a well deserved position considering her wealth of experience and purposeful leadership over the years as a legislator.

“Your leadership at the state House of Assembly will reignite a robust Legislative and Executive work relationship towards a greater Lagos.
