The Board and Management of Houses for Africa and Jonah Capital have disassociated itself from a fraudulent claim by Mr. Paul Odili and Mr. Adrian
Ogunmuyiwa, for presenting themselves as members of the Board and Management of the company.
In a statement released and signed by Kojo Ansah Mensah,
Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director in Abuja on Tuesday, 22nd July, 2025, on behalf of the board of management warns members of the public to disregard such representation and desist from transacting any business with them.
In the letter titled: RE: UNAUTHORIZED AND FRAUDULENT REPRESENTATION REGARDING HOUSES FOR AFRICA AND JONAH CAPITAL” and made available to our correspondent disclosed that records available with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) indicated that the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the companies are Mr. Kojo Ansah Mensah while the Company’s Secretary is Mr. Abu Arome respectively.
While branding it as a serious offence which bothers on “corporate identity theft, forgery, and impersonation,” Kojo Mensah reiterated that the matter has been formally reported to the relevant Law Enforcement Agencies in Nigeria as investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, investigations revealed that on the CAC record, the company was registered on the 7th February, 2008 to carry out business as trade entrepreneurship development, investment regulatory and management services etc.
It also revealed that both Mr. Paul Odili and Mr. Adrian
Ogunmuyiwa, were initially registered as Directors but were subsequently removed on the 6th September, 2024 as Directors of the company and it has since remained so.
As a result, they were striped of such responsibilities as Directors and do not have the legitimacy to represent the interest of the company anywhere or transact business on behalf of the company.
Kojo Mensah, however, noted that the legitimate leadership of Houses for Africa and Jonah Capital, and as contained in the CAC records remain as Kojo Ansah Mensah – CEO/MD; Victor Quainoo – COO; and Abu Arome – Company Secretary.
The statement further warned members of the public not to do business with the both Mr Paul Odili and Mr Adrian Ogunmuyiwa’s affiliation with Houses for Africa or Jonah Capital.
“Any transactions, agreements, or solicitations conducted by these individuals in the names of Houses
for Africa or Jonah Capital are null, void, and fraudulent.
“Parties who have engaged in any business or financial transactions with Paul Odili or Adrian Ogunmuyiwa purporting to act for Houses for Africa or Jonah Capital have likely been fraudulently duped.”
However, the company wish to reiterates that “Any individual or entity that has suffered financial loss or entered into agreements based on these false representations, are urged to
stop further dealings; report the incident to the Nigeria Police Force (Special Fraud Unit) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and seek legal
redress through the appropriate authorities and legal channels.
Meanwhile, the Management of Houses for Africa and Jonah Capital, which has vehemently dissociated itself from the fraudulent activities of Paul Odili and Adrian Ogunmuyiwa, added that they are resorting to all necessary legal steps to protect the interests of the companies and the public.
