The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has appointed Mrs Temilade Aderemi Okesanjo as Resident Consultant (Strategy and Communications) in a strategic move aimed at strengthening institutional alignment, organisational effectiveness and public engagement across the Commission.

According to a statement by the Spokesperson/Head, Media and Public Communications of the Commission, J. Okor Odey, the appointment marks a significant milestone for the ICPC, as it is the first time Strategy has been formally integrated into a Resident Consultant portfolio. The development underscores the Commission’s commitment to deepening its prevention mandate, enhancing institutional integrity and delivering impact-driven governance.

Mrs Okesanjo brings over 16 years of combined public and private sector experience to the role. She began her professional career in the financial sector at Ecobank Nigeria before transitioning into public service, where she served at the Ministry of Transportation as well as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In 2018, she exited the civil service to establish Woodford Consulting Company, which has since delivered high-level strategy and implementation advisory services.

In her new role, the Resident Consultant will support the Commission in two key areas. On Strategy, she will help ensure that ICPC’s priorities, engagements and interventions are deliberate, coherent and fully aligned with its statutory mandate. On Communications, she will work to ensure that these priorities are clearly and responsibly articulated to stakeholders and the general public, with a view to strengthening trust and transparency.

Mrs Okesanjo has advised at the highest levels of governance in Nigeria, including the Presidency, federal ministries, departments and agencies, as well as international organisations. Her work has largely focused on policy implementation, institutional reform and public-sector governance.

According to the Commission, the appointment is part of a broader objective to embed strategic thinking more deeply into ICPC operations, enhance internal coherence, reinforce preventive efforts and ensure that institutional actions translate into measurable and sustainable outcomes.

The appointment takes immediate effect.
