In celebration of 2025 Children’s Day, the International Foundation for African Children (IFAC) had the joy of spending the day with the incredible students of Golden Lily International School, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria.
The participants explored the beautiful Lagos Island, visited the Genesis Cinema for the very first time, and experienced a day filled with wonder, excitement, and discovery. The joy on the students’ faces and the stories they shared are the reason IFAC does what it does.

Commenting on the programme, the President of IFAC, Michael Nwafejoku was impressed by the turnout of the participating school students. He expressed optimism and joy at the fun-filled experience the students had.
He said, “They had fun, they had to see the need to develop themselves; they had to see that they are focused and determined to achieve their goals in life. They saw things that they were not used to. I will say, the new world is beckoning to them to showcase their potential in their various endeavours.”
Nwafejoku stated that IFAC will always be there for the children, to encourage and support them in whatever capacity the organization may deem necessary.

Also, the IFAC’s Executive Director, Onyekachi Joseph, said, “Through opportunities like this, we’re showing children that dreams are valid — and that with the right support, dreams can turn into reality.”
She expressed a heartfelt thank you to the amazing partners, Probotng and Genesis Cinemas, for providing the perfect space and support to make this year’s celebration truly special.
Together, we’re shaping brighter futures — one experience at a time.
