The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, visited the Kurudu Area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where he Commissioned one of the over 120 Ultra-modern Divisional Police Headquarters alongside six units of flats.
The FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, said the project is to boost the welfare of officers in the Division for the effective discharge of duty and to usher effective policing in the Territory to a paradigm of absolute professionalism in line with standard best practices.
According to the statement, the Inspector-General of Police noted that the project marks the beginning of many more while reiterating his commitment to ensuring that through proper welfare packages, the institutionalization and sustenance of global best policies on the Nation’s Police benchmark only against the best in the world.
“CP Babaji Sunday while expressing his profound gratitude on behalf of the officers and men of the Command took the avenue to register the Command’s unalloyed commitment to the adequate use of the facility and many others magnanimously given for an improved fight against crime and criminality in the Territory and its environs.
