Poised to enhance marksmanship, the Eastern Naval Command has commissioned a Small Shooting Range at Forward Operating Base (FOB) at Ibaka to boost weapon handling proficiency of personnel.

Inaugurated on Thursday, 24th January, 2025 by the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral SA Akinwande noted that the construction of the Shooting Range would afford personnel of the Base the opportunity to improve their small arms handling.

It was learnt that the Small Arms Firing Range project was initiated by Commanding Officer FOB IBAKA, Commodore Uche Aneke as one of the numerous new projects in the Base in Eastern Naval Command amongst others.
