To ensure that lives and properties are safe and secured and people enjoy the yuletide period in peace devoid of insecurities, the Esan West Local Government Chairman, Hon. Mrs. Ruth Osahon Okunwe has admonished security agencies to be more proactive and watch out for kidnappers and Fulani herdsman who might invade their comfort zones.
Okunwe, who met with security agencies in the local government in her office in Ekpoma, thanked them for the good work they have been doing and urged them to put in more efforts at ensuring that lives and properties are secured during the yuletide season.
The Council Chairman also thanked the committee chairman who is the Vice Chairman, Esan West Local government council, RT. Hon. Saturday Iyare saddled with the responsibility to look into the in-house crisis in the vigilante group.
She expressed happiness that all the vigilante groups have been fused into one group called the Harmonized Vigilante Group.
Hon. Mrs. Ruth Osahon Okunwe reminded the zonal head ESMA who was also present in the meeting to work assiduously to ensure that the market women trading on the road are stopped from doing so forthwith.
She admonished the leader of the market women to continue to educate their members to desist from trading on the road.
