
In a swift move to bring good health care to indigene of Lagos Island, the Chairman of the council, Hon. Prince Taiwo Ajibade Oyekan, who resumes office today, 28th July 2025 after being sworn in the previous day, has embarked on an inspection of Primary Health Care Centres.
According to Hon Prince Oyekan, he decided to tour the Primary health centres on Lagos Island local government area to assess the facilities, staffing, effectiveness and the challenges they are face.
It was learnt that he visited the Agarawu, Oke-Arin Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi and Isale-Eko (Zenith) Primary health centres etc.

He first points of visit was PHCs providing essential services like immunizations, maternal care, and disease prevention for residents.
According to the Chairman, “My administration will upgrade and provide the immediate and remote needs of the health facilities,”
The Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Bello Moshood led the management team to conduct the chairman and his entourage on the assessment tour with a view to taking Lagos Island to a greater height.
