The newly elected Chairman of Odi- Olowo/Ojuwoye Local council development area of Lagos State Honourable Seyi Jakande has vowed that his administration will encourage grassroot development at all level of governance.
He hinted that he would improve on infrastructural development for the people to continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
The newly elected Chairman, who is the son of the first civilian Governor of Lagos State, the Late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, made the remark on Sunday, 27th July, 2025, in an interview with our correspondent at the official reception organised inside the local council office shortly after their swearing in ceremony held at the state headquarters in Alausa Ikeja.
According to him, his administration will complement the effort of the past regime and improve on where necessary to ensure that everyone enjoys the government.
He explained that his regime will ensure that every promised made during his campaign are fully delivered. Those present at the reception party include former Senator representing Lagos west Hon. Ganiyu Solomon as well as the Mother of the Chairman, Alhaja Sikirat Abimbola Jakande and other dignitaries across the state.
It would be recalled that last Wednesday, the Nigeria Guild Of Editors held a memorial Lecture in honour of the Father of the newly elected Chairman, the Late Alhaji Lateef Jakande, an occasion not merely a tribute to the iconic Nigeria statesman but a platform to interrogate our present realities and re-imagine the future of our nation through the lens of Journalism, governance and public service.
