
A 5-day land forces simulation exercise aimed at testing the decision-making skills of troops of 26 Battalion tactical command elements and the combat efficiency of the unit has begun in the army formation in Sokoto.
The Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria (LFSCN) was flagged off with the nickname “Exercise HASKEN HAMADA.”
According to Captain Talati Tafarki, Acting Public Relations Officer of the unit, disclosed that the exercise was in line with the Chief of Army Staff philosophy of joint and multi-agency operations, adding that the unit is being tested in conjunction with other security agencies within the context of present security challenges of their Area of Responsibility.
Accordingly, existing operational and contingency plans are examined with a view to addressing gaps hindering optimal performance.

The Director General Land Forces Simulation Centre Nigeria, Major General Mohammed Bello Wabili welcomed the Battalion to the Centre and urged participants to make good use of the opportunity to improve on their combat efficiency.
The Special Guest of Honour, Chief of Training (Army) Major General AS Ndalolo who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Training (Army) Training and Exercise, Major General MA Etsu-Ndagi remarked on the commitment of the Nigerian Army in ensuring purposeful training in order to equip commanders at tactical levels with the requisite knowledge to drive ongoing Nigerian Army Operations. He urged the participants to apply themselves to achieve the objectives of the simulation exercise.
