LATE COAS, LT GEN LAGBAJA GOES HOME ON FRIDAY

COAS Lagbaja funeral

The late Chief of Army Staff (CAOS), Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja will be committed to mother Friday at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja.

According to the Director, Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu said in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, that the Service of songs for the late CAOS will hold between 5 pm and 7 pm on Thursday at the Army Headquarters, Garrison Parade Ground, Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja.

Other detailed burial arrangements indicate that “A funeral service will be held between 10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the National Christian Centre in the Central Business District (CBD), Abuja.

“The final internment will follow at the National Military Cemetery between 2 pm and 6 pm on Friday.”

Lt Gen Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja succumbed to death and died on the 5th of November 2024 after a brief illness.

He was appointed COAS by President Bola Tinubu on 19th June 2023.

He is survived by his wife and two children.
