Lt Gen Buratai (retd) Gives Humanitarian (3)

As part of his contribution to alleviate the suffering of the people of Borno during the recent devastating flood disaster, the former Chief of Army Staff and Nigeria’s former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, His Excellency, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (retd), has offered his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Borno.

Demonstrating a deep commitment to the welfare of the affected communities, General Buratai, who is the Betara of Biu and Garkuwan Keffi was in Maiduguri, Borno State, led a team that provided free medical consultations, distributed essential drugs, and offered much-needed food palliatives to some of those impacted by the floods.

The humanitarian effort comes as a significant relief to the benefitting families grappling with the aftermath of the disaster, which has left many displaced and in urgent need of assistance.

Undoubtedly, this selfless gesture reinforces General Buratai’s longstanding dedication to service, community development, and his enduring connection to the people of Borno State, his home state. His intervention, which comes at a critical time, highlights the importance of responsive leadership in times of crisis. May Allah bless him for that, amen.
