Following recent posting and redeployment by the Nigerian Army, Major General Philip Ehizokhale Eromosele, Commander, Coros of Engineers has formally handed over to his successor, Major General Tonye Thanks Numbere as the 35th Commander Corps of Engineers (CCE).
Major General Philip Ehizokhale Eromosele, has been posted to the Nigerian Army Heritage and Future Center. (NAHFC), Abuja, handed over today, 21st January 2025 at the Headquarters Nigerian Army Engineers, Bonny Cantonment, Lagos.
In his remarks, the new CCE, Major General Numbere thanked the Chief of Army Staff for the rare privilege afforded him to serve in this capacity; describing his appointment as homecoming and urging officers and men of the Corps to be professional.
Also, he thanked the outgone CCE for the role he played in moving the Corps to enviable heights and pledged to consolidate the achievements of his predecessor.
In a statement by Captain Ndubuisi Okezie, Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Headquarters Nigerian Army Engineers said the outgoing CCE, Major General Eromosele in his farewell remarks expressed joy to have served in that capacity, thanking God Almighty. He appreciated the COAS for the privilege and expressed his gratitude to officers and men for their support and loyalty during his tour of duty. He urged them to give the incoming CCE the support he enjoyed from them and even more.
