…AS OKADA RIDER RAPES, KILLS, DISMEMBERS WOMAN FOR RITUAL PURPOSES

A man identified as Mr. Solomon odjiwwuderhie has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for faking the disappearance of his daughter, a 21-year-old Stephanie Solomon Oghenevoke so that the wife’s creditors will not trouble her.
The Commissioner of Police, Delta State, CP Ari Mohammed Ali who gave graphic details in Asaba while briefing the press of the successes of the Command, said the girl was kept with the girl’s friend to stay for some time.
Unfortunately, as the disappearance of the girl had been reported on various online media and newspapers, members of the public informed the police that she was seen around Okpaka in Udu local government.
The police swung into action and arrested the friend of the girl and subsequently, the father of the girl was arrested and confessed that the mother of the girl was owing to the girl’s boss about N50,000,000. He believed that with the disappearance of the girl, her boss won’t have the guts to demand his money.
According to the police, the case of Stephanie disappearance was made known on July 20, 2021 about 1315hrs, at ‘B’ Division Warri hence a quick reaction by the command led to the Command declaring her missing. Also arrested is an okada rider who Kidnapped, raped, murdered, and cut vital parts of a woman’s body for ritual purposes.
Explaining how the suspect, Onos Simon, a male and 25 years old was arrested, it was learnt that the missing person, Mrs. Patience Komore, 50 years old was reported missing at the Command on August 2, 2021, about 1456hrs.
It was revealed that she disappeared after leaving for Umeh market in Isoko South Local Government Area to buy some fish. A search carried out by the Divisional Police Officer of Oleh to unravel the mystery behind her disappearance led operatives, vigilantes, and community leaders activated the information-gathering process leading to plausible clues.
However, based on a tip-off, on August 3, 2021, about 1300hours, Onos Simon, an Okada rider, who had carried the victim on that faithful day to the market was arrested.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the killing of the missing woman, Mrs. Patience Komore in connivance with one Akpoghene, a male Shoemaker now at large.
It was learnt that they did not only rape and rob her of the sum of N40,000, they killed her using a machete and removed her eyes and private part for ritual purposes. The suspect also confessed that one Lucky Daniel of Ohoro town contracted them to bring the body parts for him after paying them N100,000.
The decomposing corpse has been recovered and deposited in the mortuary according to the police while enjoining members of the public to assist the police with useful information that can lead to the arrest of the fleeing Akpoghene shoemaker and Lucky Daniel.
In another development, the war against cult and cultism has led to the arrest of over 100 suspected cultists in Asaba, Ogwashi-Uku, Agbor, Warri, Sapele, and Ukwani Local Government Areas of the state.
Exhibits recovered from them included locally made guns, double barrel short guns, and pump action. Some of them have been charged to court while others are still undergoing investigation.
