Vice President of Meta, Mr. Kojo Boakye, on Thursday led a delegation to the headquarters of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in Abuja to discuss Meta’s proposed investment in the Agency’s Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL) initiative.
The programme, which aims to achieve 70% digital literacy among Nigerians by 2027, is central to the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP 2.0).
Mr. Boakye reaffirmed Meta’s commitment to advancing digital inclusion in Nigeria, with focus areas including infrastructure development, artificial intelligence, and capacity building.
Welcoming the delegation, NITDA Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, expressed the agency’s readiness to partner with Meta, noting that NITDA has already initiated collaborative efforts with other ministries, departments, agencies, private sector organisations, NGOs, academia, and state governments across the country.
He further stressed the importance of refining DL4ALL collaboratively to guarantee inclusivity and sustainability, while acknowledging Meta’s broader contributions to Nigeria’s digital economy.
