The Department of State Services (DSS) has said that the president of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Bello Bodejo, is not in their custody.
The disclosure was made by DSS spokesperson, Dr. Peter Afunanya in response to inquiries about Bodejo’s alleged arrest over the unveiling of a vigilante group in Nasarawa state.
According to Afunanya, “He’s not with the DSS.”
Bodejo had unveiled a “Nomad vigilante group” aimed at helping security agencies address criminal activities in the north-central state, comprising 1,144 Fulani youths from different communities across the 13 LGAs.
“Every ethnic group has criminal elements among them, so if a Fulani man or woman commits a crime, he or she should be treated as a criminal just like others and not a Fulani criminal,” Bodejo had said.
