The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the Network of Anti-Corruption Institutions in West Africa (NACIWA), will on Monday, August 19, 2024, commence its sixth Annual General Assembly (AGA), meeting.
The AGA, themed “Implementing the ECOWAS Protocol on the Fight Against Corruption Towards Strengthening Institutions for Regional Unity, will hold between Monday 19 to Wednesday, 21 August, 2024, at ECOWAS Secretariat, Asokoro, Abuja.
According to the Head, Media & Publicity of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, the programme seeks ways to implement the ECOWAS protocol in the fight against corruption and strengthen the collaboration among regional anti-corruption institutions.
The Assembly will also provide a platform for dialogue, sharing best practices, and reinforcing the Networks’ collective efforts in the fight against corruption in the West African region.
The President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will be the special guest of honor while Executive Chairman EFCC, and President of NACIWA, Ola Olukoyede, will be the Chief Host.
The NACIWA was established in 2010 to promote coordination and cooperation among institutions established to combat corruption within the West African region.
