The Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army hosted students of the Senior Leadership and Staff Officers Course (SLSOC) 1/23 of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) recently.
The visit which was organized to familiarize students with the organization of a typical NA Div and the operations of 81 Div NA as well as consolidate the lectures earlier received by the students in the College.
The team was led by the College’s Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies, Major General MW Abubakar who was warmly received alongside NACOLM faculty members by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Maj Gen Obinna Ajunwa at the Div Conference Room.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Major General Abubakar said the visit was to expose the students to the military culture and operational activities of HQ 81 Div NA.
While speaking, he added that the activities and operational structure of HQ 81 Div is part of the School’s training curriculum to enable students to have in-depth knowledge of how the NA, particularly 81 Division is organized and the operations the Div conducts.
In his remarks, the GOC 81 Div, Major General Obinna Ajunwa welcomed the members of Faculty and student officers to the HQ 81 Div. The GOC encouraged the students to pay attention to what they are being thought in order to gain more knowledge from their Directing Staff.
The GOC further added that Logistics is very important in our day-to-day life, especially in the NA.
The participants were later briefed by Colonel AA Johnson, the 81 Div Deputy Chief of Staff on Operations (DCOS G3) on the activities of the Div. This was followed by an interactive session where issues concerning the operational operandi of the Div were further discussed.
Highlights of the visit were presentations of souvenirs as well as group photographs.
