A precision airstrikes conducted on the 5th and 6th June, 2025, by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation HADIN KAI, has decimated key Boko Haram hideouts at Tumbumma Baba and Chiralia in the Southern Tumbuns, Borno State.
Disclosing this in Abuja on Saturday, 7th June, 2025, the Director of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said that they acted on credible intelligence before pounding their stronghold.
According to him, “NAF aircraft targeted terrorist structures reportedly used for storage and coordination, delivering direct hits and crippling planned attacks aimed at disrupting Eid celebrations.
Battle Damage Assessments confirmed the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of key logistics structures.
This pre-emptive action, according to the DOPRI underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to safeguarding civilian lives and supporting national security objectives.
