As the 3rd Edition of the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) kicks off at the Civil Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, stakeholders and security agencies are proffering solutions to the proliferation of lethal weapons which has assumed a dangerous dimension in Nigeria.
Delivering the lecture, the Chairman, Police Service Commission (PSC), IGP Solomon Arase (Rtd), said allowing non-state actors to bear arms is dangerous to lives and properties and to the citizenry, and as such, there should be concerted efforts to address the surge with a view to securing lives.
Represented by AIG Ade Shinaba (retd), added that President Ahmed Tinubu’s political will to confront insecurity and the proliferation of small arms is commendable.
