The visit was aimed at seeking the Division’s support and collaboration towards the effective implementation of NAOWA programmes.

Mrs Babalola congratulated the GOC on his appointment as the 26th General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army and expressed NAOWA’s confidence in his leadership capacity.

She reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to supporting the military community and emphasized their dedication to the welfare of officers, soldiers, and their families.

The Chairperson solicited the GOC’s continued support and collaboration in implementing NAOWA’s welfare and capacity-building initiatives, including women empowerment, child support programmes, and other impactful projects aimed at uplifting barracks communities.

In his remarks, Major General Babalola expressed delight at receiving the delegation and commended NAOWA members for their commitment and active participation in the Association’s activities.

He urged them to sustain the tempo and motivate other officers’ wives to be fully involved, noting that participation in Army-related activities attracts divine rewards.

The GOC assured the Chairperson of the Division’s full support towards the realization of NAOWA’s objectives, particularly its efforts to positively impact the lives of women and children within barracks communities.
