The Acting Commandant Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde has inaugurated the 1st Quarter Courses 2024 comprising of Young Officers’ Course (YOC), A3 Photography and A3 Video Operations Courses at the school auditorium in Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment Giri Abuja.
In his inaugural speech, Lt Col Ngulde expressed satisfaction over the improved standard of training in the school and therefore urged the students to seize the opportunity to acquire the much-desired knowledge on the basics of Public Relations.
He further cautioned them on the negative usage of social media by personnel. He also added that the school will continue to sensitize students on Defence Social Media Policies.
He, however, thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja for his commitment to the Directorate and NASPRI which has placed them in a better position to discharge its functions without any form of hindrance. He also thanked the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla for continuous subscription to NASPRI courses.
Earlier, the Ag Senior Instructor of the school Captain Everest Ochienta implored the students to settle down and engage themselves with the academic task ahead as expectations are very huge. He further reminded the students that, extra-curricular activities such as morning PT, evening games, 3.5 Km race and field training exercises code named Ex-Mulkin Kai and Ex-Commentary will come their way sooner than expected as academic requirements before graduation.
He concluded by expressing NASPRI’s readiness to deliver on its mandate of imparting the required knowledge in line with the COAS command philosophy “To Transform the Nigerian Army into a Well-trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving Our Constitutional Responsibilities Within a Joint Environment”.
