The Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI), Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde on Thursday, May 23, 2024, led the students of (Media Operation Officers Course 14/24, X2 News Reporting and X2 Graphics and Printing all of Second Quarter Courses) on a study tour to the Nigerian Army Welfare Limited By-Guarantee (NAWLG) and Armed Forces of Nigeria Radio Service (AFNRS 107.7fm) in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory, as part of its passionate drive for a realistic training and improvement of students’ capacity development.
At NAWLG, the NASPRI team led by the Commandant was received by the Group Managing Director, Major General Sunday Jiya who was represented by the Deputy Director Operations, Colonel Abubakar Gwani. The students were extensively briefed on the day-to-day activities of the group by the Acting Director of Corporate Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel Ngozi Agha-Okoro. The students were conducted round the facilities in NAWLG, especially the Printing Press where technical details of the machines and their functions including operations were made known to the students to enhance their practical knowledge.
Similarly, at AFNRS, the Executive Director, Colonel Timothy Antigha (Rtd) commended the Commandant for exposing the students to practical knowledge. He expressed satisfaction that the students were drawn from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and charged them to use experience gained during the tour to better the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The students were conducted round the facilities, equipment, and department in the station under the supervision of the Assistant Director Programmes, Navy Captain Edward Yeibo.
The high points of the tour include the presentation of a vote of thanks by the students and the presentation of plaques and photographs.
