NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE CLOSES WITH AWARDS CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE

NATIONAL CYBERSECURITY CONFERENCE

The National Cybersecurity Conference came to a close yesterday with a gala dinner and awards night, honouring outstanding individuals, organisations, and institutions making exceptional contributions to Nigeria’s cybersecurity landscape.

Among the awardees were:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award – Abdulhakeem Ajijola
  • CS Hero Award – CP Ifeanyi Uche Henry
  • Women in Cybersecurity Recognition Award – Patricia Eromosele
  • Cybersecurity Personality of the Year – Dr. Robinson Tambari Sibe
  • MDA Cybersecurity Leadership Award – Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
  • Best Public Sector Initiative – NPF-NCC
  • Cybersecurity Research Excellence Award – Cybersecurity Experts Association of Nigeria
  • Cybersecurity Institution of the Year – Federal University of Technology, Minna
  • Outstanding Cybersecurity Startup Award – APISentry
  • Best State in Cybersecurity Leadership Award – Delta State

The event also featured a Cyber Drill Competition, where the Ekiti State Bureau of ICT emerged first, followed by the Nigeria Customs Service in second place and the Nigeria Defence College in third.

Special recognition went to Stella Danjuma, who won Best Female of the Hackathon.

The awards night capped off the conference by celebrating innovation, leadership, and dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s cybersecurity ecosystem.
