The newly appointed Admiral Superintendent, Naval Doctrine and Assessment Centre (ASNDAC), Rear Admiral Ahamefule Eluwa, today paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu in charge of Zone Two Command in Lagos.
The visit was in furtherance of the synergy between Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police in ensuring effective community policing and security collaboration between the agencies.
The Admiral Superintendent who visited in company of Cdr. AS Embuka, Cdr HUF Kaoje, Cdr A.A Agunloyr Lt. S.B Akanni and Lt. E.S. Ibrahim was accorded general salute by men of the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos, after which senior officers in the zone were officially introduced.
The Admiral Superintendent disclosed that reason for the courtesy visit was largely to seek for the sustenance of the existing synergy between the two government agencies.
Responding, the police reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to synergize with the Nigerian Navy in combating crime and criminality and to maintain a very good working relationship.
Highlight of the visit was the cordial exchange of official plaques and engagement in group photographs.
