The Nigerian Navy on Wednesday announced the extension of the deadline for the online registration for Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 28 to October 19, 2020.
Registration for the enlistment portal was opened on September 7, 2020 and the exercise was expected to end on October 5, 2020.
In a statement by the Director of Information (DINFO), Commodore Suleman Dahun in Abuja said that “By this extension, interested applicants are enjoined to take advantage and apply accordingly.
“Also, interested applicants are reminded that they must be Nigerians by birth, and should possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for first degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders.
According to him, other requirements expected to be met by the applicants include, “Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 metres in height.
“Applicants must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate and should be between 22 and 28 years by January 7, 2021, except for Imams/Chaplains and Medical Consultants who should not exceed 30 years and 40 years respectively by January 7, 2021.”
Cdre Dahun reiterated that “the guidelines for the enlistment can be accessed on the Nigerian Navy Enlistment Portal www.joinnigeriannavy.com for interested candidates to apply online.
In addition, he explained that all the processes ranging from online registration, aptitude test and the selection interview are free of charge.
However, he enjoined candidates to be wary of scammers and refrain from giving money to any individual under any guise.
