A 70-year-old grandma, identified as Selifat Funke Cole, has been arrested with her son, Babajide Ayorinde Cole, for having 117.900kg of cannabis sativa.
They were arrested on Thursday, 21st December 2023, by NDLEA operatives following a raided house in the Mushin area of Lagos.
In the same vein, operatives of the Lagos Command on Wednesday 20th December conducted a search operation on two shops marked Chex Mat Global Link Limited at the Trade Fair complex in the Ojo area of Lagos where 258 cartons of codeine-based cough syrup and eight cartons of codeine tablets were recovered.
The cartons contained 49, 200 bottles of codeine syrup and 46, 200 tablets of the same opioid were disclosed by the Head of Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi in Abuja on Sunday.
