As the nation celebrates its 63rd Independence anniversary of our nationhood, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr. Solomon Arase, a retired Inspector General of Police has called on Nigerians to have faith in the greatness of the Nigerian nation insisting that all hopes are not lost.
Dr. Arase said Nigerians should spare a minute to salute and celebrate the freedom our heroes fought for and cherish our diversity.
He noted that Nigeria must rise again and that the labour of our heroes past will never be in vain.
According to the PSC Chairman “It is obvious that no nation is perfect; we have had our fair share of hate and violence but this is the moment to build our new future full of love and understanding.”
He advised that “we must decide now to join hands with the present Government to move our nation forward”.
Dr. Arase prayed that “this day should be special for Nigerians and their loved ones and that it should present to them the sacred opportunity to celebrate the glory of freedom.
“Be assured that the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain. Nigeria must rise again,” he concluded, as disclosed in a statement by the Head of Press and Public Relations of PSC, Ikechukwu Ani.
