The Nigerian Navy has reviewed the order of arrival for the successful candidates of NNBTS Batch 29B who are expected to commence their basic training from September 19, 2020.
The new guidelines was released on Thursday and signed by the Director of Information, (DINFO), Commodore Suleman Dahun in Abuja with three new groups.
By this, the earlier arrangement announced on Tuesday has been cancelled.
Consequently, Batch 29B candidates are to report for training at the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Onne, Port Harcourt, Rivers State from September 19, 2020 in the new revised order.
Group 1 is expected to resume on Saturday, September 19, 2020 with the following states: Abia, Anambra, Benue, Delta, Ekiti, Gombe, Kaduna, Kebbi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ogun, Osun, Plateau, Sokoto and Yobe.
The states that fall under Group 2, would resume on Saturday, September 26, 2020 and have the following states: Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Kano, Kogi, Lagos, Niger, Ondo, Oyo, Rivers, Taraba and Zamfara.
However, the last Group 3 are to resume on Saturday, October 3, 2020 with Akwa-Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Jigawa and Katsina states.
Every candidate is expected to have with the underlisted items when coming for resumption.
They include five pieces of washable nose masks; Personal hand sanitizers; Two navy blue physical training shorts; Two white round neck vests; One pair of white canvas; One pair of brown canvas; and Two pairs of black trousers.
Others include two white long sleeve shirts; two black ties; One pair of black shoe; three pairs of white long socks; One pair of national dress; Original and photocopies of credentials; Six coloured passport photographs; One set of cutleries and Bio Data Form.
In addition, Candidates are instructed to observe the Federal Government COVID-19 Protocols from point of departure to the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Onne.
Importantly, Cdre Dahun reiterated, Candidates are also to ensure they resume with the group under which their states fall, adding that any candidate who fails to report two days after the indicated date will not be accepted.
All the candidates would be subjected to further comprehensive medical screening and any candidate who fails the medical screening will not be accepted for training.
