The Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, Isah Jere Idris, has ordered an investigation into an alleged employment scam against one of the staff of the Service, Babangida Tanko.
A statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, Mr. Amos Okpu, and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), revealed that the investigation is to ascertain the staff’s level of involvement and culpability as well as to melt out appropriate disciplinary measures if found guilty.
Tanko is accused of employment racketeering and claiming to be an aide of the Minister of the Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
While the Service, according to the statement, admitted that Tanko is a staff of the service, it denied that he is an aide of the Minister.
Here used the opportunity to warn members of the public against being swindled by criminal elements who are out there to deceive unsuspecting members of the public.
